Downtown L.A. Proper

Downtown L.A. Proper is a design-focused escape brought to life by interiors mastermind Kelly Wearstler in the transformed historic Broadway Corridor of Downtown L.A. The hotel’s 147-rooms and suites are housed in the site of a former social club and YWCA with one-of-a-kind suites including the Pool Suite—with a 35- by 12-foot indoor swimming pool – and the Basketball Suite, which plays homage to the building’s sporting club past. The food & beverage program is proudly led by James Beard Award-winning Chef Suzanne Goin and Caroline Styne. Caldo Verde pays homage to California cuisine with subtle & evocative Mediterranean flavors while lushly landscaped Cara Cara on the rooftop features 360-degree views of the downtown LA skyline. Tucked away on the first floor is Dahlia, an intimate lounge with botanical-inspired cocktails.
