Shout out to the SoCal city of Irvine for turning an old air force base into one of the coolest urban parks I've ever encountered. Great Park is part art gallery, demonstration garden, outdoor movie theater, food lab, urban planning experiment, and amusement park.

Great Park is part art gallery, demonstration garden, outdoor movie theater, food lab, urban planning experiment, and amusement park. Best of all? The views from 400 feet up in the big, bad orange balloon.
