While this Mission District bakery draws lines for its amazing pastries, we think the real star is its country loaf sourdough, a monster bâtard with gorgeous lacy crumb and nuanced flavors that roll on and on. Also remarkable is its keeping power: Throw it in a breadbox and it’ll keep fresh for a week. The loaves are only available for sale once they come out of the oven at 4:30pm; they accept pre-orders three days in advance.
