Yes, there are major-league tacos in the Marina. And you can thank Chestnut Street’s Tacolicious for that. In a bold coals-to-Newcastle move, owner Joe Hargrave and chef Telmo Faria took their game to the Mission. Insanity? Not if you like your tacos to be a mix of avant-garde and traditional—ranging from butternut squash–Swiss chard to Tim Lincecum’s favorite, the carnitas—your tequila extra-aged, and your beer spicy. (Check out the pitcher of Tecate with chile vinegar and lime.) Bonus for Paul Madonna fans: The noted artist did the mural flanking the side patio.
