The new Sokol Blosser tasting room is part architectural wonder, part (sophisticated) theme park. Sweeping cedar panels, skylights, and eco elements like solar panels and a green roof make it a modern marvel. The winery’s popularity spurred the idea for the intricate new design; the old tasting room was often packed, with visitors craving vastly different experiences. So architect Brad Cloepfil created several spaces: a primary tasting room, a library for enophiles, a kitchen that hosts pairing classes, and, outside, a front porch with views of the vineyard and designated picnic spots amid the grapevines—perfect for exploring with a glass of Sokol’s elegant Pinot in hand.
