Encinitas-based photographer Aaron Chang’s Ocean Art Gallery used to be the women’s jail (there are still markings on the floor where cells used to be), but now the airy space houses Chang’s prints and photo-wrapped surfboards. His emerald green and blue Tonga Water Triptych is a standout, with colors so vivid they seem enhanced; the close-up shot of salt water, sunshine, and coral reef seems all the more otherworldly for being all natural.
