Housed in a restored adobe home dating back to 1756, Geronimo bears the distinction of being one of Santa Fe’s most elegant dining experiences. Game and seafood like mahi mahi, lobster, lump crab and elk are dressed up and given out-of-character partners: for example, a Fujisaki pear salad may be accompanied by a grilled cheese, while the tuna tartare comes with buttermilk pancakes. This new American—or rather “Global French Asian” as Geronimo touts itself—restaurant is a feast for the taste buds and a welcome departure from the traditional and ubiquitous Southwestern restaurants that pepper the area.
