Restored after a fire, the 1887 Calistoga Inn is a good value for the valley. Rooms are spare (no phones or TVs) but sweet. Bathrooms are shared but as private as anything you’d find in a spa. Downstairs at the restaurant and brewery, you can even skip wine for a while: Brewmaster Brad Smisloff produces delicious wheat ales, pilsners, red ales, and porters.
