The neighborhood’s burgeoning restaurant scene migrated east with the opening of Bloom, the new location for chef Jason Harris’s former bento box pop-up. You’ll still find his adorable to-go lunches—try the box with kale goma-ae (a sesame seed–flecked salad), koji chicken, and Japanese potato salad—but here, Harris’s ramen steals the show. Noodles are served in a heady blend of chicken, pork, and clam stock, and topped with a soft-cooked egg and veggies from the Ballard Farmers Market.
