There are trails everywhere near Palm Springs, and it’s almost never too cold to hike. The Lykken Trail is a good start. Head southwest, and there’s a waterfall and a beautiful creek. Or you can follow the trail north and zigzag up for about 30 minutes to reach a picnic table area, which has views all the way to Coachella.
