If the thought of strolling Rodeo Drive after dark feels forbidden, think again. Today marks the beginning of BOLD, or Beverly Hills Open Later Days, a month of after-hours access to the poshest retailers and boutiques in 90210, and a string of happenings that will bring something for everyone.

Until August 25, Beverly Hills will come alive with floral art installations, art demonstrations, live music performances, and gourmet food trucks, including SoCal favorites like Afters Ice Cream and Made in Brooklyn Pizza. The city also has a handful of other tricks up its sleeve, including live sketches by fashion designer and former Project Runway contestant, Nick Verreos, and a dance party in Canon Gardens.

Ariana Grande fans will want to visit the gardens this Saturday, when multidimensional artist Alexa Meade, who painted the singer in her ‘God is a Woman’ music video, will create a live painting whilst the public looks on. While Angelenos and San Franciscans might have caught her psychedelic installation at Refinery 29’s 29Rooms exhibit, there’s another chance to catch Meade in action alongside the opening of the Paley Center for Media’s new Marilyn Monroe exhibit on August 18.

As far as shopping goes, expect all the big names– Chanel to Louis Vuitton– to keep their doors open a bit later than normal (til 8pm). To help justify your purchase of that new handbag, local restaurants will also be offering specials, from a complimentary cocktail at the Four Seasons rose garden to an order of bruschetta at Il Fornaio. Just keep your receipt!
