Strawberries with Sour Cream Dip
Makes 8 to 10 servings
Notes: Through the years, we've had recipes for endless variations of strawberries and sour cream, but this was the first - it was published in 1958.
1 cup sour cream
1 teaspoon grated lemon peel
1 teaspoon lemon juice
1/2 cup powdered sugar
4 cups strawberries, rinsed and drained
In a small bowl, mix sour cream with lemon peel, juice, and sugar.
Serve sour cream mixture alongside strawberries as dip, or spoon sauce over the fruit.
