Quick Cheese Fondue
Time: 10 minutes. Fondue in 10 minutes—it's like a miracle. We rely on this recipe for all our last-minute parties.

1/2 pound slightly oozy brie cheese
Coarsely ground black pepper
2 sliced apples
2 sliced pears
6 slices walnut bread, cut diagonally in half
Preheat oven to 500°. Put brie in a 2- to 3-cup shallow baking dish and bake until melted, 4 to 5 minutes. Grind pepper on top. Set dish on a heatproof surface and serve with fruit and bread.
