Ginger-Bourbon Marinated Steak

Kelly Facer has been relying heavily on this family recipe that originated with her grandfather, Jim Wallace. She notes that you can use any kind of meat, but that “flank steak is my meat of choice.”
How to Make It

Score meat on both sides.

Mix all other ingredients together and use the mixture to marinate the meat for 24 hours. Grill to desired doneness.
Ingredients
1 lb grilling meat; flank steak is recommended
¼ cup olive oil
½ cup soy sauce
XL jigger of bourbon
6 cloves minced garlic
Powdered ginger to taste
