Question: Pumpkin: Vegetable or fruit?
Answer: Fruit.
Although we don’t pluck pumpkins off a tree like apples, pumpkins have their seeds on the inside, which officially makes them fruit. (The same is true of tomatoes.) Bonus fact: I learned this definition from the utterly charming Waffles + Mochi, a cooking show ostensibly for children but which has a lot to offer even big kids like me.
