Crossings Restaurant is a touch glamorous, with its exposed-brick-and-Star-Trek-lighting decor—a reminder that while South Pasadena looks like an idealized Anytown, U.S.A., the woman at the next table just may have sold her show to HBO. The pepper steak’s a winner here (it’s not on the menu so ask for it), as is the Mary's Organic Gold Line Chicken dish.
