Designer feed: makeovers, dream bedrooms, and killer rugs

We’re coming off a long weekend, so I need this dose of gorgeous inspiration to get me back in action, don’t you? Remember, every Wednesday, I’m bringing you my favorite posts from Western designers and tastemakers–let me know who you’re following! Now let’s get to the pretty.

1. Dreamy dark bedroom. Take me now. San Francisco designer Catherine Kwong nailed this one (as she always does).

2. A stunning floating staircase makeover by the Bright Design Lab in Portland, Oregon. And is that a built-in baby gate at the bottom? Amazing. (We featured a remodeled Victorian by Bright last year.)

3: Los Angeles’ Woven Accents got new vintage Scandinavian rugs in at their showroom. I call dibs on the blue one in the center.

4: Have you guys heard of Seattle’s Gray Pants Studio? They’re a multidisciplinary design studio whose most popular project are lighting fixtures made from recycled cardboard. That’s an example in the photo. Hello, gorgeous.

5: Superstar design Nathan Turner had the perfect summer meal on the beach in Malibu this past weekend. I’d be jealous, but with this photo, I think I replicate the look at home.

Love these looks into what designers are up to? Make sure you check out last week’s feed, too.
