Stuck on how to entertain your kiddo on a long flight? Consider packing this easy-to-make craft, which is a DIY take on memory games for kids. Not only does this vacation-approved activity fit in the front pocket of a backpack, it also doesn’t involve any iPads or computer screens.

To start, you’ll need an even number of mini canvas squares, acrylic paint, a brush, and a jar or palette. Begin drawing pairs of simple icons on each square. We love this outdoor-themed set using trees, waves, mountains, and flowers. Let the paint dry, then shuffle canvases face down and flip two at a time to find the matching pairs.
