Couture Kitchenware Is Now a Thing
Fashionistas can now accessorize their kitchens with countertop appliances designed by fashion powerhouse Dolce & Gabbana

If your toaster needs an upgrade, consider going the designer route. Italian fashion house Dolce & Gabbana has released a haute line of appliances guaranteed to glam up your countertop.
The designers at D&G teamed up with Italian home appliance gurus at SMEG last year to create a gorgeous kitchenware line that is now available for at Neiman Marcus and Williams Sonoma.
The line, named “Sicily Is My Love,” is inspired by the aesthetic of Southern Italy, and is filled with the sunny colors and vibrant flora and fauna of the region. From hand-painted lemons, cherries, and sailboats to playful birds and floral motifs, the line’s intricate design work graces everyday gadgets, including a blender, toaster, juicer, standing mixer, and of course, an espresso machine.
While steeply priced at $600 apiece, each kitchen appliance is a work of functional art.
