Remember when I first said that part of doing a cleanse is listening to your body? Well, mine spoke very loudly to me this morning and I listened. I’ve done enough of these to know that there’s no point in killing yourself just to prove you can. Coffee.

I slept 13 hours last night. Which is fine, it’s great to rest, but I woke up feeling exhausted and run down so I decided to have half a cup of coffee.  I buckled. I admit it. But you know what? That was the best damn cup of coffee I’ve ever had!

The rest of the day went off without a hitch and I feel great. The fact that I made it six days without caving on the coffee earlier is a feat within it’s own class. Tomorrow is my last day of this cleanse and I’m proud of myself. If you’re following along and still sticking to your goals, you should be proud too. If you’ve slipped and fallen off the healthy wagon, well… join me in the non-perfect person’s pool. The water is warm and we’ve got plenty of coffee.
