An unexpected twist on the comfort food breakfast, this easy French toast recipe is just as fun to make as it is to eat. These entertaining grab-and-go bites can be made for leisurely Sunday morning brunches or early morning fuel at the campsite.
We start by coating strawberries in strawberry jam for an added sticky-sweetness. Then, we dipped day-old bread chunks into an egg, milk, and vanilla mixture. Once the bread is coated, we threaded the bread and strawberries on pre-soaked skewers, finishing them off with a bit of melted butter. Finally, we grilled them until brown and plate the skewers with crème fraîche and berry syrup.
