You Can Grill That? Strawberry Shortcake

If you’re looking for an easy dessert to whip up for guests while you’re standing around the grill, how about strawberry shortcake? It sounds crazy, but it’s incredibly easy.

Buy an angel food cake (we’re talking easy here) and cut it into chunks. Brush strawberries with a little jam. Skewer everything, then cook the kebabs on a medium-low grill just until you get grill marks. The cake gets toasty, the berries get warm and juicy, and you can dunk it all in whipped cream that you’ve glammed up a bit with crème fraîche and lemon zest.
