As senior corporate chef of Heinz North America, Alan McDonald works with the nation’s top restaurants and food service companies to develop new and interesting concepts based on emerging food trends.

Chef McDonald has more than 25 years of culinary experience. He has served as a corporate chef for Brinker International Corner Bakery Restaurants; as corporate chef of the largest region in the Sodexho Marriott Corp.; and as executive chef for Chicago’s McCormick Place, the largest convention center in the Western hemisphere. Chef McDonald also served as a panelist on the Society for Food Management’s United States tour. He was named 1997 Young Maverick Chef by Restaurant and Institutions magazine, and is currently a Research Chefs Association’s board member-at-large.

Chef McDonald earned his Associate of Science in Culinary Arts degree from Johnson & Wales University in Providence, Rhode Island, and continued his education at the Culinary Institutes of America in New York and California, successfully completing eleven advanced programs.
