I wanted to post a few pictures of the test garden.
The edible wave is growing in nicely:
Spotty germination in that front row — the escarole came up great, but the dandelion and radicchio are taking their merry time.
And the straw bale garden is also doing fine:
You can see the straw still had seeds in it, as is evidenced by the little sprouts. They’re not that big of a deal, and there aren’t too many of them.
You can also see an extra cabbage hanging out in a plastic container. One of the cabbages had aphid damage, and I’m waiting to see if it bounces back. Otherwise, I’ll replant with the extra.
That’s it. It’s been HOT and this gardener is ready for some cool weather!
