Moana Lane; renoflyshop.com). Or sign on to a tour with Tahoe Whitewater Tours (open May 1; from $65 for half-day; gowhitewater.com). All the action is at Truckee River Whitewater Park at Wingfield (at Arlington Ave.; cityofreno.com). For a quieter spot, try Idlewild Park (1900 Idlewild Dr.; cityofreno.com).
