New dish in Vegas

Ever since the Bellagio’s new Spa Tower opened late last year, a stylish new restaurant and a patisserie with a chocolate fountain (Vegas still knows how to do excess) have been attracting serious foodies.

At Sensi, sleek walls of water and stone surround four glass-enclosed kitchens ― one each for Italian, Asian, grilled foods, and seafood ― where chef Martin Heierling’s crew prepares international cuisine as diners watch. The menu ranges from classic ceviches to chicken tikka baked in a tandoori oven.

Just down the hall, lines form early at Jean-Philippe Pâtisserie for fresh-grilled crêpes as well as pastries and chocolates by award-winning pastry chef Jean-Philippe Maury. The sandwiches are a bargain. Take a number.
