Creds: Park City hosted the 2002 Winter Olympics and is the home of the U.S. Ski and Snowboard Association. It’s still a hot spot on the international race circuit for winter sports.

Catch a lift with a local hero: 1952 Olympic gold and silver medalist Stein Eriksen, 81, skis at Deer Valley Resort. Chris Waddell, most decorated male skier in Paralympic history, carves turns at the Canyons Resort.

Watch them fly: Catch the 2009 Visa International World Cup, including mogul and aerial competitions, at Deer Valley Resort (Jan 29–31; free).
