Rub elbows with the city’s hottest florists

The best part about Seattle Wholesale Growers Market, aside from the staggering number of local blooms, is that you no longer need to be a florist to visit. Housed in a brick warehouse in the artsy Georgetown neighborhood, the market opened two years ago as a place to connect floral pros searching for regional flowers with Washington, Oregon, and Alaskan growers. It’s now open to the public on Fridays from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., so even novices can access fresh cuttings, which this month include ranunculus, peonies, and lilacs. $5 day pass; seattlewholesalegrowersmarket.com
