Learn the most efficient way to pack a cooler for a camping trip.

Nothing ruins a camping trip quite like spoiled food floating in lukewarm water. Keep your food safe for days (and avoid broken eggs!) with these cooler packing tips. We like reusable ice packs for their lasting power, but you can also use extra reusable water bottles, freezer bags, and even frozen food to help keep your cooler cold on an extended trip. No matter what, plan to start freezing your ice blocks at least a full day in advance and pre-chill everything, including your cooler if you can, to prevent your ice from melting as soon as you pack your cooler.
