Of the district’s dozen plus galleries, our favorites are Gallery of Thum’ (closed Sun; 159 S. Lincoln St.; 509/294-9234), where you can pick up wind chimes from recovered silver and hand-painted gourds, and Artisans’ Wares (808 W. Main Ave., Ste. 216; 509/456-6030) for crafts by more than 150 artists.
