The Slanted Door launched Charles Phan’s modern Vietnamese empire. Charles boomeranged back to the same building as the original Slanted Door to bring us an equally modern, pedigreed-ingredients take on Chinese street food. We’re talking gingery, soup-filled Shanghai dumplings, silky whole-wheat noodles with pork and preserved radish, and three kinds of the savory jook. Unlike the porridge you’d get in Chinatown, though, Wo Hing’s is made with Lundberg organic rice.
