The house-roasted beans aren’t the only thing with Latin American roots at Tierra Mia, the California-based coffeehouse whose empire is growing. The drinks and pastries also flaunt a south-of-the-border flair, from the spicy-rich mocha Mexicano to the cinnamony sweet horchata latte and the stick-to-your-fingers housemade tres leches muffin. Umbrellas line the sidewalk patio for shady alfresco breaks.
