Since hanging his shingle six years ago, artist turned curator Justin Giarla has booked one buzzworthy show after another in these adjacent Tenderloin galleries. Look into the Shooting Gallery for surrealistic pop art, White Walls for street-based art. Bargain alert: If what you see in the shows is out of reach, Giarla has two rooms of back-stock items that start at a couple hundred dollars. When to go: Opening receptions are see-and-be-seen affairs. During less-busy times, you can go upstairs to peek at an original of street-art superstar Shepard Fairey’s iconic Obama portrait.
