Since it opened in 2011, The Lunch Box sandwich shop has proven itself a great addition to Stinson Beach. Credit goes to a
dozen cool sandwich combos (roasted-salmon po’boy with avocado, or pork loin with apple-radicchio slaw); a mix of custom-packaged
trail snacks (from milk chocolate raisins to sesame-covered cashews); and housemade lemonades and aguas frescas too. It’s
the kind of place that, instead of nondairy creamer, sets out a bottle of organic Straus milk for your coffee. And if, say,
you’re hiking the Dipsea Trail out from Mill Valley, they can have a whole picnic waiting for you under an umbrella in a Stinson
Beach park for $21 a person (plus a $50 setup fee). Then you just have to waddle back over the mountain.
