The silence is golden, and so are lingering aspens surrounding the three cabins perched at 11,209 feet. In summer, you can hike, bike, or drive the 2.5 miles up to the Shrine Mountain Inn. When winter comes, you snowshoe or cross-country ski the trail to the backcountry retreat. The inn is privately owned, but reserations are handled by the 10th Mountain Division Hut Association.
