The Pine Cone Diner doesn’t look like much—the façade faces a parking lot—and the service could be characterized as country brusque. But the tiny aqua interior, dominated by an old-timey counter, is always jammed. Locals start the day with huge plates of pancakes, orange-cinnamon French toast, or one of the many Mexican-inspired dishes.
