Tyler Bell and Dustin Lancaster expanded their Silver Lake eatery, adding a raw bar around the corner and up the stairs, aptly named L & E Upstairs. The list of fresh Atlantic and Pacific oysters available each day—by the dozen or à la carte—is posted on the wall. But if you prefer your Kusshi oysters cooked (or want a full meal), stay downstairs, where they can be grilled or fried (alone or in a po’boy). The knowledgeable bartenders will gladly recommend a wine that goes gloriously with bivalves.
