Jackson,  Wyoming
The Iditarod is one of the hardest races out there, but a half- or full day of mushing with Jackson Hole Iditarod Sled Dog Tours is anything but. We promise. The full-day tour takes you to hot springs deep in the Bridger-Teton National Forest (accessible only by sled, skis, or snowmobile), then offers a hearty lunch after you soak in 103° water. Don’t have an entire day for dogs? The half-day trip doesn’t hit the hot springs, but you still get to choose between driving a team yourself (after a quick lesson) or spectating, swaddled in blankets, from a seat in the sled.
