In 2014, the Hilo Bay Cafe moved out of the strip-mall location that always seemd an odd fit and into a new space within sight of the actual bay. Some menu items didn't make the move, but many favorites remain. The surprisingly light Hamakua mushroom potpie will bowl you over with deep umami flavor. And the fish ’n’ chips are a daily catch, battered and served with garlic fries.
