Yes, it’s in a strip mall, perhaps the last place you’d think you’d eat some of the best food on the east side of the island. But the surprisingly light Hamakua mushroom potpie will bowl you over with deep umami flavor. And the fish ’n’ chips are a daily catch, battered and served with garlic fries.
