One of San Diego’s first craft beer canneries, Hess Brewing, gives a bird’s-eye view of beer in action. A steel skybridge leads you across the production area to the industrial-chic tasting room in the back of a converted 1950s J.C. Penney, where you’ll be able to watch the canning line while sipping something seasonal—say, pumpkin stout. Food carts frequent the back patio.
