At Fast Food Français, younger sibling to both Le Garage, also in Sausalito, and San Anselmo’s L’Appart, the slant is a Gallic take on classic American comfort food, like burgers and mac ’n’ cheese. Sometimes the result hews closely to the original, as with the chicken wings with Roquefort sauce. The “chips and dip” venture further—fried brussels sprout leaves sub for chips—but they end up in the right place.
