Barrio Queen packs a lot of energy—and a sprawling menu—into a large space set with intricate tilework and ornate chandeliers. There are dozens of taco selections, like salmon with nopales and egg, but also regional dishes such as roasted Cornish hen in a black-fig mole, and filet mignon with Serrano ham, menonita cheese, and sautéed huitlacoche. Plus it would be a royal offense to leave without trying a few drops from the “Kick Ass” tequila list.
