A winding, short drive outside Aspen, snowy Castle Creek Valley is home to a smattering of high-end vacation homes, a tiny ghost town, and some incredibly scenic cross-country ski terrain at the end of Castle Creek Rd. A day pass allows you to explore 22 miles of groomed trails that crisscross a serene, intimate landscape of pines and aspens.
