Beer and Music, Together At Last

You won’t find $8 beer-flavored water at this festival.

Beer has always played a supporting role at concerts, but finally there’s a music festival that gives beer its long-due recognition. Bay Bridged, a nonprofit organization with a mission to shine light on up-and-coming Bay Area musicians, is teaming up with the San Francisco Brewers Guild to host Bay Brewed, a rock and roll beer fest that includes 12 Bay Area craft breweries and a lineup of local bands. We have to give a shout out to Sonny and the Sunsets—not only because they have a great name but also ’cause we love their folksy tunes and this homage to SF. Nothing like sipping a cold one in a can while listening to some Bay Area (and some non-Bay) jams.

Tomorrow, 50 bucks gets you a day of great tunes and unlimited (!) beer tastings, but no cab ride home, so make sure to buy a ticket for that buddy who owes you a DD-favor.

Check out the lineup on The Bay Bridged’s weekly podcast.
