The launch of our March Food Lover's issue—our first-ever, all-food issue—wouldn't be complete without a party devoted to the subject. To celebrate, we invited our Chefs Feed partners (check out the story here) and a group of food-loving bloggers to tour the Sunset campus and meet few stars from the issue, including chef Michael Mina and Sunset's talented food editor, Margo True.
Behind the Scenes: Our Food Lover’s Launch Party

The launch of our March Food Lover’s issue—our first-ever all-food issue—wouldn’t be complete without a party devoted to the subject. To celebrate, we invited our Chefs Feed partners (check out the story here) and a group of food-loving bloggers to tour the Sunset campus and meet few stars from the issue, including chef Michael Mina and Sunset‘s talented food editor, Margo True.

Food, prepared from the more than 30 recipes in the mag, took center stage: Trays of mini Umami burgers, slices of whole orange cake, decadent fried Mormon funeral potatoes, and even flatbreads served from a tandoor oven hitched to a moped.

A recap of the party from a few of our fellow bloggers:

– Zagat’s Meesha Halm swoons over the “wicked delicious” Hatch chile burger featured on our cover.

10 Things You Might Not Know About Sunset Magazine, by Katie Sweeney of Six Twists.

– Mika Takeuchi of Food Fashionista put together a fantastic slideshow of the night.

Finally, props to the Dapper Diner, who won the #SunsetFoodLovers social challenge with his snappy (and prolific) tweets:

Join us next Friday, March 1st from 12-12:30 PST for a Twitter party with chefs from the issue! More details to follow early next week.
