The Building Industry Association of Superior California (BIA)

The Building Industry Association (BIA) of Superior California, Inc., is an association of builders, developers, subcontractors, suppliers, and related professionals dedicated to the advancement of the industry. Originated in 1944, the Association and its members have been providing quality homes and neighborhoods for the people of the Sacramento region.

The BIA is proud to represent its 600 members within 21 county areas, including Alpine, Amador, Butte, Calaveras, Colusa, El Dorado, Glenn, Lassen, Modoc, Nevada, Placer, Plumas, Sacramento, Shasta, Sierra, Siskiyou, Sutter, Tehama, Trinity, Yolo, and Yuba counties.

Serving as the representative voice of members within its Northern California multi-county region, the BIA reflects the combined efforts of those dedicated professionals concerned with pertinent issues facing the building industry. Through the BIA, members can confront and obtain solutions to a multitude of building-related problems. The BIA, like any trade association, is a conduit of business information linking the individual member to the entire industry by providing informational, educational, and technical services.

Few industries are as influenced by local government regulations, fees, and policies as the building industry. And, no one is more diligent in fighting for these interests than our BIA staff and volunteers. They work closely with local governmental staff and elected officials to help mold the policies and their impact on our members.

Members of the BIA of Superior California are automatically members of the:

• California Building Industry Association (CBIA) with 6,000 member companies representing over 500,000 homebuilders, industry professionals, and employees. The CBIA mission is to create a favorable climate for the building industry by providing unified representation on statewide issues.

• National Association of Home Builders (NAHB) with 190,000 members who employ over 8 million Americans. The NAHB’s primary goal is to keep housing as a top national priority.
