The West's best farmers' markets

Late summer is prime time for produce and flower growers all over the West. Find the very freshest tomatoes, corn, and melons to lead off your menus, plus vivid dahlias and sunflowers to make your table shine. And don't miss the many one-of-a-kind specialty food stalls for fresh baked goods, artisan cheeses, and other local treats. Here are some of our favorite markets in the West.

Honolulu, HI
Goodies in paradise

The Saturday market on the slopes of Diamond Head, one of Hawaii's most famous peaks, has more to offer than just tropical fruit and flowers. It's also the chance to sample traditional foods from some of the island’s most famous restaurants — don't miss the kahlua pig breakfast burritos made by students from Kapiolani Community College's culinary arts program.
