In November 2002, Sunset Magazine hosted its first annual Sunset Western
Home Alliance Conference. Over 70 of the best builders and architects
from across the West attended the successful event titled, "The changing
Western suburb, the changing Western home."From that first conference, Sunset and the West’s best builders formed
the Sunset Western Home Alliance partnership and defined membership
criteria that must be met by all participating builders.The Sunset Western Home Alliance Conference has become a forum for
builders, architects, and Sunset editors to exchange ideas and
information that help advance the future of home building in the West.
At our two-day conference in November 2003—"Building Homes for the West:
from Courtyards to New Communiities" —attendance grew to 100 guests,
creating buzz and excitement for our third annual conference in March
2005.
