Natural napkin rings
E. Spencer Toy
Wired sprigs of seeded eucalyptus turn a key ring into festive table decor.
Natural napkin rings
Holiday table decor

A simple touch can make a holiday table special. Here's an easy — and inexpensive — way to decorate your table. Use key rings, wire, and seeded eucalyptus to make napkin rings that look and smell great.

Here's how: Buy 2-inch-diameter metal key rings (ours cost about 60 cents each) and fine wire at the hardware store; seeded eucalyptus is available at many florists. Cut off a small bunch of the eucalyptus, and wire it securely to the outside edge of the key ring. Wire more bunches to the ring, covering the stems of the previously attached bunches as you go. Repeat until the top is covered. Insert rolled napkins through the rings, which will dry naturally and last for several days.
