ABOUT SUBSCRIPTIONS

How do I subscribe, renew, or give a gift subscription to Sunset?

Use our subscription forms or call 1-800-777-0117.

Gift subscriptions will be mailed within six to eight weeks after receipt of order. If you specify your gift is for Christmas, the subscription will start with the January issue.

How can I tell when my Sunset subscription is going to expire?

To find your expiration date, look at the upper right-hand corner of your label. You'll find the month and year of expiration abbreviated.

Your mailing label also contains other valuable information concerning your subscription. If you ever have a question or problem, be sure to include a current mailing label in your correspondence to us to ensure prompt attention and fast service.

I'm moving. How can I make sure my Sunset subscription moves with me?

To ensure that your Sunset subscription continues without delay when you move, use our change of address form or send us your current label (with your old address), as well as providing us with your new address. Please give us eight weeks advance notice.

One of my Sunset issues was never delivered. What should I do?

The first issue of your subscription is mailed to you within six to eight weeks of order receipt. Thereafter, you should receive each issue a week prior to the cover date (for example, your May issue will arrive the last week in April). If an issue is missing or over two weeks late — due to error or postal delivery problems — write us and we'll try to replace the missing issue, supplies permitting.

What do I do if I have a problem with my subscription?

If there is ever a problem with your Sunset subscription, please inform us in writing immediately or call our toll-free number: 1-800-777-0117.

Remember to enclose your mailing label (or print your name and address exactly as they appear on the label.) To ensure prompt delivery, include your apartment number. In the case of a billing error, be sure to include your invoice so we can locate your file quickly. Correction procedures will begin immediately, although some problems may take longer to resolve than others. You can expect a reply from subscriber services within four to five weeks.

I've heard that some magazines make their mailing lists available to other publications. Does Sunset do this?

We share our subscribers' names with companies whose products we feel would be of interest. Many of our subscribers enjoy these opportunities to shop for merchandise, subscribe to unique publications, or take advantage of special offers and events. If you would like to receive catalogs and information from a variety of sources, you need do nothing. If, however, you would like your name excluded from these mailings, please send your mailing label and a note stating your request to:
